‍A View of 2022

The 2022 AgroExpo, hosted August 16th and 17th, is nearly a month from being over. That being said, work for the 2023 AgroExpo has already begun. Before we get too carried away planning for next year's show, we want to take a second and share with you a recap of this year's show.

This year's Expo was a year to remember. Speakers, demonstrations, and FFA contests continued to be some of the show's highlights. Our eight presentations at the Speaker's Tent offered RUP and CCA credits while exploring topics like: Return on Investment of Planter Technologies, Estate Planning, and Irrigation Technologies. Our demonstrations consisted of a multitude of planting and tillage equipment. A new demonstration that took place at the show was Tri-County Electric's Electrical Safety demonstration, which helped show attendees the importance of carefulness and proper knowledge when working with powerlines. Our FFA Contests hosted at the show brought over 150 students to the grounds with students participating in the FFA Tractor Driving Contest and the FFA Crop Management Contest.

Other highlights of the show included: The Michigan AgriBuisiness Association Breakfast, hosted the first morning of Expo in partnership with the Clinton County Catalysts, in which Senator Debbie Stabenow was a guest of honor. The Corn Marketing Program of Michigan also hosted a Tar Spot Tip Off, where over 80 attendees could learn more about the research that is happening right now in regards to tar spot. The FFA Crop Management Challenge also hosted a breakfast the second morning of the AgroExpo. At this breakfast, sponsors of the contest were able to interact with students and speakers like Christie Apple of TIMAC AGRO and Troy Bancroft from AgroLiquid were able to share some of their experiences in the industry with the students. Oh, and how could I forget, the MSU Dairy Store joined us at the Expo. They went off with such a hitch that they had ran out of flavors both days.

By the end of the show, there were a total of 3600 attendees and exhibitors across the two days. That is up 20% from last year! But this show would not run as smoothly, nor be as much of a success as it was without the help of our generous volunteers! Thank you so much to those that were able to join us and help the show be great!

But don't take my word for it! If you were able to come to the show, let us know what you think in the survey below. What went good? What could improve? This year was great, but next year can be even better!

We hope to see you at next year's show, August 15th & 16th!
